Linear Cloak Wood
Linear Cloak Wood offers a beautiful and affordable alternative to the use of luxurious and expensive wood types. Cloak Wood is an innovation in wood. Solid wood and wood veneer together form the basis of this distinctive product. The combination of veneer with a solid wood core was developed by Derako’s own specialists.
The core consists of solid wood from European forests. This is coated with natural wood veneer. You will experience all the constructive advantages of solid wood. You can choose from various sizes. We offer a broad range of veneer appearances. Just like the other Derako systems, the parts are installed invisibly with the special suspension system.
Description
Unique material combination
Linear Cloak Wood combines the advantages of solid wood and a veneer finish. Using Cloak Wood in the Derako suspension system results in an invisible fastening. An additional advantage: the veneer layer and wood composition remain intact. Due to the unique product properties, the wooden parts are very dimensionally stable. Cloak Wood can furthermore be produced cost effectively. In addition to the solid wood core, Derako also has other alternatives available.
System description
Linear Cloak Wood can be produced in a number of standard sizes and a wide variety of veneer appearances. The joints in the system are equipped with acoustic non woven tissue. You can choose from the standard colours black, white or grey. Other colours are available upon request. The Cloak Wood parts are as standard finished with high-quality lacquer. The lengths of the parts are by default a mix of sizes (min. 900 mm). This partly depends on the available materials for the wooden core. The upper edges have a milled out tongue and groove connection. This guarantees that the ends fit nicely and connect easily.
Derako suspension system
The Derako suspension system consists of a profile equipped with special clips in a repeating pattern. During the production process, the clips are attached to the profile and delivered to the project location in the correct pattern size. Five pattern sizes are available for the Linear Cloak Wood system.
You can opt for a fixed design or a 50% demountable design. The demountable model allows one to easily remove Cloak Wood parts after installation for maintenance work.
Details
Linear Cloak Wood is a suspended ceiling system. You can see how the system is structured in the image below. Linear Cloak Wood is also suitable for walls. The design of the ceiling and wall can merge into one another. Please see the wall application for more information.
